UK CrossFit Throwdown Series – WOD 01
This is my first attempt at the UK CrossFit Throwdown Series - WOD 01, the WOD comprised of:
7 minute amrap:
- 5 HSPU
- 7 OHS [50/30KG]
- 30 DU’s
I ended up doing this strict as I couldn’t do kipping HSPU’s…or at least I had never tried them before. So after being a little dissapointed with 6 ROUNDS [my arms eventually gave in] I took to practicing the kip. It took me no time at all after a few wise words from the Gymnastic coach so I actually attempted this WOD again about 30 minutes after I’d finished my first attempt…however I started failing on the 4th round so gave up. This was a really good WOD though and enjoyed it a lot…it will be interesting to see if the kip helps me out when I try this again fresh.

Jamie is a professional Graphic Designer from the Preston area in the UK. He has been CrossFitting since 2010 after being hooked since his first workout. The sport has seen him travel through Europe with different athletes visiting even more boxes and meeting fascinating people from the community.
