CrossFit Glevum opening

We met up with Dan at the weekend during the opening of one of the fastest growing CrossFit affiliates in the UK; CrossFit Glevum. Located in the south west of England they are making a name for themselves within their surrounding area having created a strong community built heavily upon hard work, pride and support. The Glevum colony have adopted the CrossFit ethos in such a short space of time creating an atmosphere which is uncanny to any other CrossFit box you could visit; welcoming, fun & heavily supported by its members! We had such a great time down there and they made us feel so welcome…it felt just like home.

This is what Dan had to say:

“Since stumbling across CrossFit in early 2008 my whole take on life has changed. Being involved with sports and fitness all my life – playing Rugby & Swimming since a young age, I developed a passion for coaching after realising the impact it had on peoples’ lives during my time spent at CrossFit Leeds. Through hard work and determination I have now opened my own box called CrossFit Glevum.

My commitment and pride to my members is key as I set out to help those who are ready to change their life. I believe the driving factor to CrossFit Glevum’s success will be down to the support and backing from the CrossFit Community both close to home and further afield. The CrossFit community is unlike anything else. It’s hard to explain, however the day you first set step in a “box”, whether its your first time or not you are instantly well aware you are part of it and that’s what makes it special! The support and friendships that are made through our community are truly amazing and I can’t think what my life would be like if I had not found this. My focus is now on introducing as many others to this as possible, changing lives and having a positive impact on everybody I come in contact with.”
