10 Incredible Crossfitters Who Prove That Age Is Just a Number

These dedicated and impressive Masters prove that CrossFit is for everyone.

Whether it is just out of pure boredom, recovery from surgery or the will to stay fit and keep pace with younger family members, these incredible crossfiters set new standards and all of them should be our role models!

Joyce 63 y.o.

Joyce started CrossFit 3 years ago. However she just started taking it more seriously within the past year.

Her goals are to get a muscle up, 50 unbroken double unders – her PR is 10 unbroken so far and she would love to make it to the CrossFit Games.

🤳🏼 @jamiejoyce2 ・・・ I had to post this. Joyce is 63 years young and completely inspiring! We worked together yesterday and I just watch her in awe. Her drive, her work ethic, the things she can do… she's incredible! I mean, look at her pull ups and toes to ring! We started with 1 and 1 and yesterday she got 2 and 3!! Born with a congenital hip dislocation, she's had over 10 corrective surgeries. Never letting that stop her in the past, she started @crossfit 3 years ago. However she just started taking it more seriously within the past year. Her goals are to get a muscle up, 50 unbroken double unders (she got 20 yesterday!), and would love to make it to the @crossfitgames Dreams truly have no age limit. Thank you Joyce for showing us how it's done 💪🏽🙌🏽❤️ #inspiration #motivation #crossfit #crossfitcommunity

Mike 72 y.o.

Mike suffers from atrial fibrillation, but that doesn’t hinder him following our inclusive programming. He always finds that post training he has a regular heart rate & feels great.

🤳🏼 @crossfitcirencester ・・・ It's time for the @crossfit #community to meet one of the wonderful athletes we have @crossfitcirencester. This is Mike. Mike is the epitome of what we do at CF Cirencester. We simply make people better, we help them believe in themselves, we surround them with other people who believe & amazing things happen. Mike is 72 years old and that's a 30 inch box jump. Don't under estimate the benefits of #crossfit programming & #GPP General Physical Preparedness. Mike suffers from atrial fibrillation, but that doesn't hinder him following our inclusive programming. He always finds that post training he has a regular heart rate & feels great. He doesn't use it as an excuse. Be the best you, be like Mike!

Ray Damerell 72 y.o.

On the contrary to other Crossfiters that we chose Ray hates workout but he is aware of how beneficial it can be for everybody´s health. CrossFit helps him in everyday life. For example when he fell he knew how to get up and don´t get injured.

Patricia 72 y.o.

This incredible lady from CrossFit Belltown set a 3 RM deadlift PR at 155 lb.

Javier in his 70´s

Javier is taking his training very seriously because he knows its a shortcut to healthy and long life. Watch his rowing, Hollow Rocks and  burpees. They will convince you his is one fit self-aware guy.

Ms. Ann

Unfortunately we don´t know more about Ann´s passion for CrossFit but you can see that she is a hard-worker  straight away from this video and her burpees!

Kathleen

Kathleen started with CrossFit in 2015 because her son loved the sport and she was curious about his passion. She was looking for something community based and CrossFit was the right choice!

📸 @wodtographer My buddy @wheelhousewolf coach and co-owner at Crossfit Wheelhouse @crossfitwheelhouse recently posted on FB the phrase "I'm going to wait until I'm in better shape to start Crossfit." No one has to wait to be in 'better shape' 💞 It's been a few months since Kathleen @kathleenhain has joined us at Manayunk Athletics @cfmyarmy. She works hard and is one of the kindest folks I know. I asked her why she joined and this is her reply… "Hi! My son has been a member since 2015 and he speaks so highly of Crossfit in KofP and I guess I wanted to check it out. I wanted to do something that was community based and I found it! Everyone couldn't be kinder to me and in today's world I really appreciate that. Love all the people there! No judgement. Thank you so much! ❤️" #womenwholift #wodtographer #philadelphiaphotographer #fitnessisfun #crossfit #crossfitwomen #mastersathlete #ageisjustanumber #moveyourbody #whatsyourwhy

Bob 78 y.o.

Bob is real role model.  He has a heart transplant and does CrossFit 3 times per week. If Bob´s heart surgery is not an excuse, then you can´t have none!

Connie in her 70´s

Connie started with CrossFit through women´s cancer survivor fitness program. She trains 2-3 times per week. Connie is another great example that there is never time to give up.

Larry Scalf 72 y.o.

Larry is the oldest and longest standing member of CrossFit Ktown. Check out his back squats and you will have no doubts that is all about mindset.
