The BOXROX Quiz – What Type of Crossfitter are You?

Are you a box kitten or gentle beast? Chalk monster or WOD newbie? These 6 quick questions will help you to find out.

One of the best parts of any CrossFit box is the varied and welcoming community that makes up its members. The BOXROX quiz will help to show you where you fit in.

From 100 + year old masters to teenagers that destroy every WOD that comes their way, the worldwide collection of Crossfitters is also a hugely diverse bunch of athletes and individuals.

The sense of community at CrossFit is unique; everyone knows one another, there is always someone to help with technique, you compare WOD results, discuss competitions etc.  This doesn’t happen in regular gyms, no one speaks to one another except to occasional ask “are you using this?” At CrossFit you know names, life stories … you know the people, they are your. But why is this community so important?

Social Support

The community at CrossFit always provides support. How often have you encouraged others that haven’t finished the WOD yet or even been cheered on yourself? Often people stay behind after they have finished their workout just to provide moral and verbal support to another CrossFitter who is completing a qualifier for competitions. The best example of this was Sam Briggs during the live 13.5 workout. She finished her workout and despite her exhaustion then encouraged Camille LeBlanc-Bazinet to get back to the bar to squeeze out some more reps, even though they were competitors.

Think about your close Crossfit friends, your rivals, coaches and tag them so that they can find out which type of Crossfitter they are as well.

About The Author

Editor-In-Chief at BOXROX. I come from a background of rugby and weightlifting. Growing up in the English Lake District, I spent a great deal of time swimming in its stunning lakes and rivers. In 2015 my brothers and I became the first people to swim the 145km length of the River Eden, from source to mouth, in 9 days. We also swam the Corryvreckan whirlpool, the third largest in the world, and Crossfit is a huge part of my training for these events.
