How did you come to CrossFit?
Boris: As a physiotherapist I am always interested in functional movements and training. One day I found CrossFit and fell in love with it.
Johann: It was kind of the same for me, during my education to becoming a trainer I was studying a lot of different strength and conditioning methods and CrossFit was the perfect fit for me.
Why did you open your own box?
Opening our own box allows us to share our passion for training and movement. We love teaching and helping others to reach their goals.
Why exactly should I join YOUR box? What makes it standout from others?
We assist people in reaching their full potential, physically and mentally, and achieving a stronger sense of health and well-being, through movement, coaching, encouragement, and teamwork. We have high moment standards and we offer a fun and inspirational training community.
How does your member structure look like? (Number of members, Male/Female, Young/Old, any competitive athletes?)
Our community is constantly growing. We have a wide variety of members, ranging from the age of 12 to 50+. Among our members are people who simply want to work out and stay fit as well as competitive athletes.
Do you have additional training possibilities (Yoga, Gymnastics etc.)?
We are offering Pilates and Yoga because it is a perfect addendum to CrossFit. We implemented Olympic Weightlifting and Strongman specialty courses to take our clients skills to the next level. Another project of ours are Highland Game Workshops.
Do you consult your members in nutrition questions?
We don’t specifically offer nutrition classes or workshops, but we are glad to help with any nutritional advice from our own personal experience.
If I start as a beginner – how does my training in the first month look like?
In the first month our members are taking our Basics Classes where they learn the fundamental techniques necessary to participate in our regular classes. In those classes we are working on one specific skill, for example the squat a press or the snatch, and at the end of the class is a short MetCon.
Do you organize any internal or open competitions?
We are not organizing any competitions yet, but we are planning to.
Do you have links to other boxes?
We know several trainers and box owners across town. Since Viennas CrossFit community is constantly crowing we are interested in organizing competitions or events with other boxes.
Can I drop in if I am passing your city? Who do I have to contact?
Sure, we welcome everyone who wants to drop in from another city. We think that it is great to share our passion and our community with someone from another city or country.
