Eddie Hall Beats Shaw and Thor to become The World’s Strongest Man 2017!

Eddie Hall becomes first Brit to win World's Strongest Man in 24 years after surprise victory in Botswana.

The Beast, from Clayton, made history after becoming the first Briton to win the competition since Gary Taylor in 1993!

Eddie won the squat lift, viking press and deadlift events, and the final scoring went as following:

  1. Eddie Hall
  2. Hafthor Bjornsson
  3. Brian Shaw

Eddie Hall has also officially retired from competition. 

My most valued trophies 4 x British strongest man 1st places, 2 x deadlift world record trophies and a 3rd place wsm trophy. In 2015 my brothers and I became the first people to swim the 145km length of the River Eden, from source to mouth, in 9 days.
