How did you come to CrossFit?
The first contact to CrossFit was a Video on YouTube and a WOD DEMO at the FIBO , when I saw that guy from ROGUE at the FIBO that did those weired looking movements (Burpees,KBS) I actually was interested and stoked from CrossFit. I wanted to make those movements look so easy aswell! After a few months of implementing CrossFit in my normal workout routine I decided to do the L1.
Why did you open your own box?
There was no serious GYM/ or kind of Training facility like a BOX here in Osnabrück . So Tanja and I decided to open a BOX and let people be part of this awesome community and training environment. We love to coach people the best Movements in Life to help them to don’t suck at life.
Why exactly should I join YOUR box? What makes it standout from others?
Because CrossFit Osnabrück is the best place to learn, have fun, and kick some weights in the ass! We hand out good coaching that really gives you what you need, to be the best. This Box has everything a CrossFitters heart needs!
How does your member structure look like? (Number of members, Male/Female, Young/Old, Athlete/Amateur)
After 3 Months of activity we have 40 Members, 12 of them are Females. Ages reach from 18-42.
Do you have additional training possibilities (Yoga, Gymnastics etc.) ?
We do Strongman work and Oly-Classes. For Teamsports like Football etc. we have a small area with HammerStrength GroundBase Machines that work from the ground up to the body and add some more specific training into the teamsport that is played.
Do you consult your members in nutrition questions?
I am also a licensed nutritionist and when our members have questions they can come and ask, I actually give some tips here and there each in a while when I see some lagging in performance.
If I start as a beginner – how does my training in the first month look like?
You get a Basic-Course with all the standard movements in CrossFit , and the Workouts are scaled if needed. We also don’t give a RX weight , you choose you’re weight , but lot of times the athletes come and ask me “Hey Coach , is this ok or should I go higher?” , then I decided for them because I know them really good by now and want that they go beyond their limits!
Do you organize any internal or open competitions?
We want to organize a competition soon , maybe new year , but that will be more Intern. Until now some athletes signed up to some other competitions that are running.

What’s your take on Fitness?
Fitness for me is to be great or even better at everything that life throws at you. All People should do CrossFit, it’s the perfect mixture of everything that you need in real life. I hope that a lot of people recognize that they have to leave the comfort zone to achive real fitness!
