The New North American/Canadian Regionals for The 2018 CrossFit Season Have Been Released

Dave Castro is shaking things up for the 2018 CrossFit season.

Canada, Canada West and The Californian Regional will be now be combined into one Regional. The remaining Regions will remain the same.

This will affect Athletes such as Josh Bridges and Brent Fikowski, but will raise the standards required to make it to The 2018 CrossFit Games.

This follows on from the changes that will be made in order to encourage a more international mix of athletes at The Games.

  • Previously North America sent 30 people to The Games, now it will only have 25 spots
  • The rest of the world had 10 spots, but Dave Castro has increased that to 15 spots

Haters will say it’s fake. Link in bio. #CrossFitInvitational 📷 @davexre

About The Author

Editor-In-Chief at BOXROX. I come from a background of rugby and weightlifting. Growing up in the English Lake District, I spent a great deal of time swimming in its stunning lakes and rivers. In 2015 my brothers and I became the first people to swim the 145km length of the River Eden, from source to mouth, in 9 days. We also swam the Corryvreckan whirlpool, the third largest in the world, and Crossfit is a huge part of my training for these events.
