Warm up / accessory exercise to improve the overhead position. Use a dumbbell or a kettlebell.
Another good warm-up/accessory piece for improving/working the overhead postion. "Single arm sit-up" this can be done with KB's, DB's or a Barbell. By utilising 1 arm at a time it can help identify any possible imbalances you may have it also challenges your ability to control rotation more.
