CROSSFIT TRANSFORMATION – Rasmus Andersen On How CrossFit Improves Confidence

Crossfit - transforming so much more than just physical fitness.

“When I was younger I used to be shy and not very outgoing. I guess mostly because I was overweight and didn’t have much confidence.

After doing Crossfit for about a year I lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of confidence. I even decided to take a big step and move to California and later on became part of Crossfit Invictus. In the process of meeting a bunch of new people in a foreign country with a language which at the time was hard to understand I turned myself around and became more confident and outgoing than ever. I also went from overweight to competing at the CrossFit Games among the fittest people in the world.”

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Part 1/2 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I was younger I used to be shy and not very outgoing. I guess mostly because I was overweight and didn’t have much confidence. After doing Crossfit for about a year I lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of confidence. I even decided to take a big step and move to California and later on became part of @crossfitinvictus. In the process of meeting a bunch of new people in a foreign country with a language which at the time was hard to understand I turned myself around and became more confident and outgoing than ever. I also went from overweight to competing at the @crossfitgames among the fittest people in the world. I’ve had an amazing time at Invictus and fortunate enough that I met my better half @laurenfisher. All things I don’t take for granted and very grateful for! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With all that being said, it’s now time for me to take another step and experience life elsewhere.

About The Author

Editor-In-Chief at BOXROX. I come from a background of rugby and weightlifting. Growing up in the English Lake District, I spent a great deal of time swimming in its stunning lakes and rivers. In 2015 my brothers and I became the first people to swim the 145km length of the River Eden, from source to mouth, in 9 days. We also swam the Corryvreckan whirlpool, the third largest in the world, and Crossfit is a huge part of my training for these events.
