HYROX Copenhagen 2026 has just wrapped up and Gustav Cordua took the Men’s Pro race in 55:29. That marks a new personal best and a Danish record for one of the fastest rising stars in HYROX.
Gustav Cordua
Cordua last lined up at the Phoenix major in the Elite 15 Doubles where he qualified for the World Championships at the first attempt with his partner, Sebastian Ifversen. In Copenhagen it was Ifversen who set the pace, and he led into the Wall Balls but Cordua finished strong to win by 6 seconds.
You can see Cordua’s running splits below. One thing we always look for is how the pacing is managed and Cordua’s Runs 3 through 7 show high-level control, with only 3 seconds variance in 5 runs.
| Run 1 | 5:07 |
| Run 2 | 3:07 |
| Run 3 | 3:15 |
| Run 4 | 3:17 |
| Run 5 | 3:18 |
| Run 6 | 3:17 |
| Run 7 | 3:18 |
| Run 8 | 3:29 |
| Roxzone | 3:39 |
In the workouts he was consistently amongst the fastest performers with a 1st place in the Lunges ensuring he would be in contention at the end.
| 1000m Ski Erg | 3:55 (9th) |
| 50m Sled Push | 2:23 (19th) |
| 50m Sled Pull | 3:00 (2nd) |
| 80m Burpee Broad Jumps | 2:38 (9th) |
| 1000m Row | 3:56 (2nd) |
| Farmer’s Carry | 1:26 (13th) |
| 100m Sandbag Lunges | 2:41(1st) |
| Wall Balls | 3:45 (9th) |
While Cordua takes the individual win, the result speaks well for his partnership with Ifversen. Both athletes bring considerable speed and clearly complement each other well. With HYROX set to restrict elite Doubles competition to same-nationality pairs, the two Danes could emerge as one of the teams to watch.
