In just her third Women’s Pro singles race, Saskia Millard has gone sub-58 minutes with a time of 57:26 in London. The only women to ever best that time are Joanna Wietrzyk and Lauren Weeks.
Saskia has an elite running pedigree, having competed at the highest levels in the UK and internationally. Her speed was clear for all to see when she took to the Elite 15 Doubles with her partner Holly Archer last weekend. They built up a big lead in the runs but a little bit of inexperience during the stations led to several penalties. These ultimately left them in 7th place. However the raw speed matched that of the athletes at the top end of the spectrum of what we see in modern HYROX.
In her last singles race in Glasgow, Saskia arrived at the Wall Balls in under 54-minutes, only to be undone by 45 no-reps, ultimately finishing in 1:02:01.
Now she has demonstrated a spectacular performance in London. Her running splits show great consistency with the slightly longer Run 8 explained by the extended 1,200m last runs before the Wall Balls. Aside from that, the splits barely waver, a sign of exceptional pacing discipline across the full race.

Her workouts also show big improvements, with no penalties recorded, and top 10 finishes throughout 4 stations. Notably, her Wall Balls recorded a very solid 4:03.

So far this season it has been Joanna Wietrzyk and Lauren Weeks out in front, then a gap before Vivian Tafuto and the rest of the women’s field. Saskia has shown she could be the one to bridge that gap and content with the two at the top.
She might already be the fastest woman in HYROX, and with a bit of fine-tuning at the stations, we could see some very special times.
