The Pro races at HYROX Washington D.C. 2026 were stacked. Here’s what happened in the men’s race.
- 1st Frederic Dubé (53:59); 2nd Stephen Pelkofer (54:10); 3rd Greyson Kilgore (54:13); 4th Macklin Kortebein (54:21); 5th Gabe Piepergerdes (55:26)
- Pelkofer entered the wall balls first after overtaking Kilgore, but an unbroken Dubé effort carried him to the win.
- The Canadian Dubé jumps six spots to 19th in the points rankings (before Tenerife & Athens races this weekend.)
- Six of the top 10 set PBs including Stephen Pelkofer who improved by 2:18, Josh Ward by 2:37 and Morten Kortebein by 3:19.
- This was Piepergerdes’ Pro singles debut.
- Elite15 athlete and current world no.6 Jack Driscoll came 7th in 56:16 – 43 seconds off his PB
On the women’s side Vivian Tafuto showed her class to pip Rachael Wade.

- Vivian has shone brightest as a Doubles athlete, as she won the World Championship with Lauren Weeks in June. Her performance today in DC re-establishes her as a legitimate top-tier E15 singles athlete after a disappointing 13th at Worlds.
- Tafuto jumps from 17th to 5th in the points table, while Rachael Wade moves into a 4-way points tie that connects 13th with 16th.
- The tie-breaker in these situations is known as ‘Strength of Field’ (SOF). SOF is the combined points totals of every other qualified runner in that race. The SOF score for the DC race is not yet confirmed.
- Previous college middle distance runner Esther Seeland made her Pro Singles debut at this race. Her only prior Hyrox was the overall win in the Open category at New York in May. One to watch.
- A welcome return to form for Lauren Griffith with her fastest time in two years. Last season was plagued by injuries and today she was within 10 seconds of her lifetime best.
