This might actually be even more impressive than the regular mile WR!
The 11th annual Beer Mile World Classic in Lisbon, Portugal did not disappoint. Corey Bellemore returned to break his own world record in the sweltering heat and five additional national records were also set in this race.
Each athlete must neck / chug / down a beer then run a lap. Complete it 4 times until the full mile distance is completed.
Online comments demonstrated unwavering love support for this incredible achievement. “I’ve never been more proud of my neighbors to the north since the creation of the Geneva suggestions. This is amazing! Congrats, man! What a beast!”
“I have never been more proud to be Canadian” and “If someone had shown me this 30ish years ago I never would have quit the Cross Country team.”
Great to hear Corey inspiring the world.
