CF Games

Event 12 was a fast-paced combination of gymnastics and barbell work that demanded precision as much as speed. Athletes completed three rounds of 21 toes-to-bars followed by seven unbroken power snatches, seven unbroken hang snatches, and seven unbroken snatches. Any break on the barbell forced athletes to reset, making efficiency and consistency just as important as outright speed.

The workout was programed by Tia-Clair Toomey and chosen by the fans.

Event 12 provided a dramatic conclusion to day 2, testing athletes’ ability to combine gymnastics with precise barbell cycling at race pace. The requirement to complete each set of seven power snatches, seven hang snatches, and seven snatches unbroken left little room for error, placing a premium on grip endurance, barbell control, and smooth transitions.

Lucy Campbell delivered the performance of the event, winning in 5:02.48 to claim the maximum 100 points. The battle behind her was remarkably close, with Abigail Domit (5:04.36), Danielle Brandon (5:04.93), Aimee Cringle (5:05.00), and Emma Lawson (5:06.45) all finishing within 3.97 seconds of the winner. Those razor-thin margins highlighted how every transition and every unbroken barbell sequence influenced the final standings.

The competition remained tight throughout the top 10. Just 22.47 seconds separated Campbell from tenth-place Siria Meha (5:24.95), while athletes from Great Britain, the United States, Canada, Norway, Ireland, Italy, and Albania featured among the leading finishers. The Hopper rewarded technical precision as much as fitness, with Campbell producing the fastest and most consistent performance to close out the event in style.
