His ability to stay near the front regardless of the workout prevented any major points losses, and is one of the biggest reasons why he has earned the victory. He won The Jump Yoke Pull and Machine 7200m events.

Sprague has made major improvements on aspects of his fitness that he struggled with in the past. His 590lb deadlift got him second place in the Event, and demonstrated that he is now one of the strongest athletes on the floor.

Sprague’s Dad is a masters CrossFit athlete, and he remembers that the first time James beat him in a workout. It was in Christine, when he was 17.

CrossFit has had a huge impact on James’ life when he was younger, “CrossFit helped save my life when I was overweight and depressed growing up and gave me a new perspective on life and hard work.” It is incredible to see how far this talented and hard working athlete has risen.
