Two-times Fittest on Earth, five-times Games podium finisher and ten-year CrossFit Games athlete Annie Thorsidottir filmed her attempt of the Open workout 20.1. She did it alongside 2019 Open overall winner, two-times Games podium finisher and fellow Icelander Sara Sigmundsdottir.
Annie Thorisdottir revealed she will be filming each of her Open workouts every Friday and uploading her attempts to her YouTube channel . The idea is to also include her initial thoughts on strategy and warm up, as well as advice right after having completed the workout.
Annie Thorisdottir tips for CrossFit Open Workout 20.1
- Transition right away to the burpees after the bar
- Take a chance, pick up the bar sooner than you want to
- Try to find somewhere in the snatch or the clean and jerk where you can breathe
- Practise the burpees in the warmup, decide what kind of burpees do you want to do (jump, step, turn in the air…)
“This is a great workout because everyone can do this workout,” Annie concluded.

Thorisdottir will be competing against Vellner for the 20.5 CrossFit Open Workout Announcement.
The last workout of this year’s Open is scheduled for November 7 at 5pm Pacific Time and will be broadcast by the Filthy 150 Sanctional.
