CrossFit creator Andrew Hiller has had his main YouTube channel removed, wiping out more than 1,300 videos and nearly 39 million views.
Hiller’s channel, @hillerfit, was taken down on Monday, October 12. At the time of its removal, it had just over 79,000 subscribers and 1,308 videos.
Hiller shared the news on Instagram with a screenshot of the removal notice and a two-word caption: “Oh well.”
The post quickly attracted comments from followers, many questioning what had happened and why YouTube had taken the channel down.
Why Was The HillerFit Channel Removed?
Hiller has made a name for himself in the CrossFit community through his commentary on athletes, competition standards and the sport’s governing bodies.
It seems likely however that a video discussing peptides was flagged.
One follower asked Hiller whether he had appealed the removal, to which he replied: “yes”.
What’s Next for HillerFit?
It’s unclear whether Hiller will be able to recover his channel or the hundreds of hours of content uploaded over the years.
His second channel, HillerFit Training, remains online and has added around 2k subscribers in a single day. That channel is primarily dedicated to workouts and training rather than his usual CrossFit commentary. Hiller addressed the situation and how people can support him in this video.
