Strong New York 2026 is all set for September 26 at The Glasshouse in Manhattan, and this year’s event will feature the debut of ATHX Games. The fitness and wellness festival will attract over 5,000 visitors, 50+ speakers, and over 250 industry leaders, all of whom can look forward to a new competitive element.
For those unfamiliar, ATHX Games is an Adidas-funded fitness competition set to go global in the coming years. Strong New York founder Kenny Santucci has spoken of his excitement, stating:
“Bringing ATHX Games to the city is another step forward because it reflects where fitness is headed: performance, competition, and community all coming together under one roof.”
Why Strong New York and ATHX Are a Perfect Match
Strong New York has become one of the largest fitness events on the East Coast. Adidas is one of 50+ brands involved, with sponsors this year including Celsius, Impact Kitchen, and SweatPals. The gathering blends workouts, brand activations, educational talks, and competition.
Established in the UK, ATHX has expanded rapidly in 2026. Events test strength, endurance, and metabolic conditioning through multiple exercises, including squats, ski-erg, running, rowing, and deadlifts.

Athletes participating in New York can expect a 45-minute test via the ATHX FitScore activation. Each participant is given a score out of 100 based on their strength, endurance, and MetCon performance.
Co-founder Mark Hartnett-Morgan spoke more about the partnership: “Strong New York brings together the kind of athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and communities that embody what ATHX is all about, making it the perfect setting to bring ATHX to New York City.”
What Does the Future Hold for ATHX?
It’s already been a big year for ATHX. The competition has hosted 14 events across 10 European countries, while making plans for entry into the Middle Eastern and Asia-Pacific markets. Their 4-year deal with Adidas was announced in 2025, helping ATHX to make an impact in an industry dominated by HYROX.
What Else is Taking Place at Strong New York 2026?
Competition will play a significantly larger role at Strong New York this year. Concept2 is running strength and longevity tests, where athletes can complete 7x one-minute challenges: Pull-ups, push-ups, biking, running, rowing, grip strength, and deadlifts.
TRX, Gotham Gym, and Tremble are other established brands organizing events in this area.
If that’s not enough, there’s an official TMPL Clubs after-party, as well as talks from Dr. Drew Pinsky, powerlifter Stefi Cohen, and performance coach Phil Daru.
