The expanded global season is set to feature Individual Pros, Masters, and Next Gen Athletes, Elite Teams of Four, and a New Elite, Rx, Intermediate, Scaled Pairs, and Masters division that culminates at the 2027 World Fitness Championship.
World Fitness Project today announced the framework for the 2027 World Fitness Series, a season-long global competition circuit designed to give athletes more opportunities than ever to compete and earn their place at the 2027 World Fitness Championship.
The new structure reflects World Fitness Project’s broader mission in its ongoing effort to build a stronger, more connected global fitness ecosystem. By linking the World Fitness Series with its network of qualifying events, the WFP aims to expand into new markets, elevate the quality and visibility of events worldwide, and create a clear, unified pathway for athletes at every level.
The 2027 Series will expand across these divisions:
- Pro Individual
- Masters Individual
- Elite, Rx, Intermediate, Scaled, and Masters Pairs
- Elite Teams of Four
- Next Gen Individual
Qualified athletes will be able to compete across World Fitness Series competitions as often as they choose, reflecting the Series’ goal of building a true global competition circuit.
The season will culminate at the 2027 World Fitness Championship, bringing together the world’s top individual, teams, pairs, masters, and next gen athletes.
For athletes, the new structure is designed to create easier access and greater opportunities to compete and qualify for the World Fitness Championship, as well as create further exposure to new markets, fans, and sponsors.

“This is about creating more ways for athletes to compete at a high level, all season long, while building toward the biggest stage in our sport,” said Will Moorad, Director of Sport. “At the heart of this is a simple belief: People Matter More. More events, more formats, more chances to qualify, the 2027 Series is our biggest step yet toward a truly global circuit and every path leads to the Championship”
“The growth of the World Fitness Series reflects the strength and momentum of this sport on a global scale,” said Jason Ansley, President of Global Fitness Investments. “By connecting the Series with our partner and acquired competitions, we’re building a global season that helps events grow, gives athletes real opportunities at every level and creates long-term value for the entire sport.”
