Fastest Way To Burn Fat – 4 Steps to Follow

Get rid of unwanted body fat.

No endless cardio sessions, hundreds of sit-ups or fat-burning supplements. That is not the way to lose weight. These 4 steps you are about to see are the fastest way to burn fat.

Excessive fat stored in the body not only has a negative impact on a person’s fitness level but can also mean a more problematic health issue. That is why you should find out ways to get rid of fat in the best way possible.

In a video, sports teacher and YouTube fitness guru Alex Lorenz talked about the fastest way to burn fat. He is the co-founder of Calisthenic Movement and has trained Calisthenics since 2012, uploading videos regularly for those people interested in getting in shape using only their body weight.

Fastest Way To Burn Fat

1. Build More Muscle

Cardio sessions are not inherently wrong, Lorenz says, but they are a drop in the bucket when compared to strength sessions to lose fat.

Muscle mass increases your total daily energy expenditure. “That means the more muscle mass you have, the more energy your body burns during the day because it has to supply those muscles with energy.”

More muscles mean you burn more calories even when you rest.

Instead of doing only cardio or endurance workouts, implement some sort of hypertrophy and strength-focus training.

2. Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent fasting can be done in two ways: restricting eating for several hours every day, or restricting eating for longer periods per week (24 or even 36 hours).

Intermittent fasting is one of the fastest way to burn fat because it increases your hormone levels and decreases your insulin levels, Lorenz explains.

There are still studies to be conducted about the long-term effects of intermittent fasting on individuals and it should not be looked at as the holy grail of weight loss, but it can help people consume fewer calories throughout the week.

3. Calorie Cycling

Cutting down calories is the only way to lose weight. This will definitely work in the beginning, but your body will try to adjust and counterbalance that shortage of calories in order to preserve itself. To tackle that, you should do calorie cycling in which you consume more calories every once in a while.

When you use a caloric cycling approach, you may avoid this “survival mode” from your body effect “because you constantly change your caloric intake,” so your body doesn’t get the signal that it should adjust to a lower caloric intake.

4. HIIT / LISS

  • HIIT – all-out intensity of cardiovascular exercise
  • LISS – cardio you can do for long periods of time without difficulty

LISS increases the amount of fat as its main source of energy over time, HIIT uses glycogen as fuel. They both burn around the same amount of calories, but HIIT is more time effective and has a higher epoc effect.
