La Fitness has opened a new gym in Tampa, Florida, after closing multiple locations across the US. The new facility embraces reformer pilates, HYROX, and strength training, and cost $4.8 million to build.

The 30,000-square-foot gym is located at 2170 East Fowler Avenue, in the University Area, with a Rogue Rig system, Olympic benches, and lifting platforms available to members. Athletes can also use specialized lower body equipment, cardio machines, personal trainers, and group fitness classes.

What Can Visitors Expect?

The venue opened on Tuesday, October 27, and adds to Fitness International’s network of over 600 clubs across the US and Canada. First-time visitors are offered complimentary workouts, personal training assessments, and pilates classes through promotions found on the LA Fitness website.

The premium amenities offer more ways to work out, with the HYROX functional training area prioritizing versatile exercises. The pilates reformer studio focuses on low-impact, mobility-focused workouts that are designed to build core strength and muscle tone. The gym also features spacious locker rooms.

Why Has LA Fitness Invested So Heavily In the Gym?

The opening reflects Fitness International’s desire to meet the needs of fitness consumers in today’s market, while still staying in line with the brand’s dedication to convenience and accessibility. Speaking on the opening, Jill Hill, President of Club Operations at Fitness International, said:

“We wanted this LA Fitness to feel fresh, modern and elevated from the moment members walk in. The timeless finishes and bold, contemporary branding create a sophisticated backdrop, but ultimately, the space is designed to highlight what matters most: our members, their hard work and the healthy lifestyles they’re building.”
