HYROX has released new programming details for its first-ever HYROX Cruise, a five-day Mediterranean experience combining expert coaching, performance training, recovery, nutrition and community.
Taking place from 21–25 October 2026, the cruise will depart from Palma de Mallorca aboard TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 4, travelling to Marseille and Barcelona before returning to Mallorca. The ship will be fully chartered by HYROX Experiences for the event.

For athletes considering joining the voyage, there is also a major benefit available exclusively through BOXROX:

More Than 300 Hours of Training, Recovery and Education
The newly released programme has been built around one central objective: giving participants access to world-class knowledge across performance, recovery, nutrition and mindset.
According to information supplied to BOXROX, the onboard curriculum will offer more than 300 hours of activities and educational sessions.
The programme follows the four pillars of the HYROX 365 training system:
- Foundation: Building movement quality and essential physical capacity.
- Engine: Developing endurance and the ability to maintain output.
- Power: Improving strength and explosive performance.
- Complete: Combining the different elements into full-body, race-specific fitness.
The official cruise programme will include scalable workouts, coaching sessions and workshops designed for both experienced HYROX competitors and motivated newcomers.
Technical Movement and Station Tactics
A major part of the programme will focus on technical movement efficiency.
For HYROX athletes, small inefficiencies at stations can quickly become expensive. Poor positioning, unnecessary transitions and inconsistent technique all consume energy that could otherwise be used during the running sections or final stages of a race.

Technical workshops led by coaches including Faisal Abdalla, Maximilian Löw and Dena Hogan will help athletes identify wasted movement and develop more efficient station strategies.
These sessions are expected to cover movement mechanics, pacing, transitions and practical tactics athletes can apply during their next HYROX event.
Elite Programming Hubs at Sea
Some of the biggest names in functional fitness programming will also be represented onboard. Specialized training sessions will be delivered through programming hubs including:
- HWPO, led by Jake Marconi
- PRVN, led by Dene Flude
- Athletic Camps, led by Anna Mühle
The sessions will give participants an opportunity to experience different coaching methodologies while learning how leading training organisations approach strength, conditioning and hybrid performance.
The cruise will also feature large community workouts, including sessions capable of hosting up to 150 participants at once.
Science-Backed Recovery
Training will only be one part of the experience.
The HYROX Cruise programme places significant emphasis on regeneration, with onboard physiotherapists, dedicated BLACKROLL Recovery Zones and lower-impact training formats.
Sessions including FS8 Reformer and Les Mills classes will give athletes opportunities to move without adding excessive fatigue between more demanding workouts.
Participants will learn how to manage their training load, improve mobility and accelerate recovery following high-output efforts.

Mein Schiff 4 also features restaurants, bars, spa and wellness facilities, allowing athletes to balance structured training with recovery and time away from the gym.
Performance Nutrition, Pacing and Mindset
A series of educational seminars will explore the areas that support performance outside the workout itself. Topics are set to include:
- Race-day pacing strategies
- Sports nutrition
- Pre-race and post-race fuelling
- Performance mindset
- Personal branding for hybrid athletes
For newer competitors, these sessions could help remove much of the uncertainty surrounding race preparation. More experienced athletes will have the opportunity to refine the smaller details that can influence performance when chasing a personal best.
Who Is the HYROX Cruise For?
Despite the depth of the programming, the event is not limited to elite competitors.
HYROX and TUI Cruises describe the experience as suitable for athletes of different levels, from established racers to newcomers looking for a structured fitness goal. The program combines scalable group workouts, free-training opportunities, education and planned recovery periods. The cruise is an adults-only event.
It is designed for people who want more from a fitness holiday than access to a hotel gym.
Instead, participants will be immersed in an environment built around training, recovery, learning and the wider HYROX community—all while travelling through the Mediterranean.
