Workout studio Barry’s has partnered with Abercrombie & Fitch Co.’s activewear brand YPB. The collaboration will deliver a range of workout apparel inspired by Barry’s signature Red Room, which is set to be taken on the road.

Known as “YPB Abercrombie x Barry’s”, the range launched on October 1 and will be available online and in select Abercrombie stores. Products will also be added to barrys.com and 75 Barry’s studios around the world from October 15.

What Athletes Can Expect From The Collaboration

The collection features 12 women’s styles and six for men. Inspired by Barry’s famous red-lit workout studios, the range also incorporated input from fitness instructors. Multiple physical activations are included in the partnership, created to integrate YPB into the Barry’s community.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. will become the official sponsor of Barry’s new mobile studio, which will debut in Austin, Texas, from October 2-3. The introduction coincides with Austin City Limits, a PBS live music event.

Why Barry’s & Abercrombie & Fitch Align

The mobile Red Room will then move to New York City. From October 9-11, YPB will transform Barry’s NoHo Studio on Lafayette Street. Abercrombie & Fitch Brand President Corey Robinson has spoken of the partnership, stating:

“At Abercrombie, we’re focused on outfitting our customers for every part of their lives, including the moments when they’re moving, training and feeling their best.”

“Barry’s has built an incredibly engaged community around performance and connection, making this partnership a natural fit for YPB. Working directly with Barry’s instructors helped us create a collection rooted in real workout experience, with the style and versatility our customers expect from Abercrombie.”

Barry’s CEO J.J. Gnatt is seemingly equally excited about the collaboration, stating:

“YPB by Abercrombie brings an innovative perspective to activewear, pairing elite performance with the effortless and timeless style Abercrombie is known for. This meaningful collaboration brings together two iconic brands that started with Barry’s instructors playing a role in the design and creation of the pieces, ensuring the Barry’s community can experience high-performance pieces designed to support them both inside and outside the Red Room.”

Barry’s began in Los Angeles in 1998 and now has over 100 studios in 19 countries. Known for high-intensity workout classes, Barry’s features atmospheric lighting and loud music. Upscale studios deliver a luxury experience, with a different muscle group targeted each day of the week.
