Mel C, otherwise known as Sporty Spice, just completed a HYROX race in a time of 1.18.

The singer competed in a team after getting roped in by her sister, Emma. Mel wrote “Massive thank you to my sister, the REAL Sporty Spice, for getting me signed up. Love ya sis!”
Emma went on to say that “Hyrox is NOT for the faint hearted! 😳 but together we pushed ourselves through each difficult moment! Isn’t that what sisters are do ❤️ and we bloody smashed it!!! 💪🏼”.
As you already know, Mel C first gained international fame in the mid-1990s as a member of the Spice Girls. The group became the best-selling female act of all time, selling over 100 million records worldwide. After dominating the pop scene, they went on hiatus in 2000, later reuniting for a greatest hits release in 2007 and returning to the stage for major tours in 2007–2008 and again in 2019.
She began her solo career in 1998 with the hit duet “When You’re Gone” alongside Bryan Adams. Soon after, she signed with Virgin Records and released her debut album Northern Star in 1999, which produced two UK number-one singles and sold more than 2.5 million copies globally. Following her second album Reason (2003), she left Virgin Records and launched her own label, Red Girl Records.
Her third album, Beautiful Intentions (2005), performed strongly across Europe, while This Time (2007) continued her steady success. In the years that followed, she released several more albums, including The Sea (2011), Stages (2012), Version of Me (2016), and her self-titled album Melanie C (2020). Her ninth studio album, Sweat, is scheduled for release on 1 May 2026.
