For Sinéad Bent, consistency is quickly becoming her defining trait this season.
Just three weeks after winning the EMEA Championships in London, the British athlete returned to the Elite 15 stage at HYROX Warsaw and delivered another personal best. Bent clocked 56:54 to finish fifth in a highly competitive field, continuing a run of performances that underline her rapid rise in the sport.
In her latest YouTube vlog, she shared how uncertain she felt heading into the race after such a quick turnaround.
“I don’t know if I’ve fully recovered yet, but I’m feeling good and confident,” she said before the start.
Racing Close Together as a Test
With London still fresh in her legs, Warsaw became a test of how her body could handle repeated high level efforts within a short time frame. Bent explained that future seasons will demand more races to accumulate points, making this kind of schedule increasingly important.
“I think this is a test for me to see what my body can actually do,” she said.
That test delivered a clear answer.
Another Step Forward
Despite dealing with fatigue and a minor shoulder issue, Bent improved again.
“I got a PB three weeks later. I feel like every time I race, I’m shocked,” she said after finishing.
Her performance continues a streak of progression that includes her European title in London and now another significant time drop in Warsaw.
Adjusting Race Strategy
Bent also experimented with her race approach. After running a more controlled strategy in London, she pushed harder early in Warsaw to stay with the lead group.
“Mid race I felt like I was dying a little bit more, but PB wise it paid off,” she explained.
Even with discomfort during burpees due to tendon irritation, she managed to maintain output and finish strong.
Looking Ahead to Stockholm
With not long until the HYROX World Championships, the focus now shifts to refining details. Bent plans to review her race data, adjust pacing decisions, and build through the next training block.
Each race continues to move her forward, and Warsaw was another clear step in that direction.
