CrossFit has announced that a variation of the CrossFit WOD Helen will be featured at this year’s Games.
If you are unfamiliar with it, here is what the workout Helen is:
3 rounds for time of:
- 400-metre run
- 21 kettlebell swings (1.5/1 pood, 24/16 kg)
- 12 pull-ups
This is the first clue of any 2023 CrossFit Games workout so far with exactly 2 weeks for the kickstart of the events in Madison.
Variation of WOD Helen to Be Featured at 2023 CrossFit Games
According to the announcement made by CrossFit, the workout will not be a copy of the famous workout Helen.
“All individual, age-group, and adaptive athletes will do a version of the benchmark workout Helen at the 2023 NOBULL CrossFit Games,” the press release stated.
We have previously seen a variation of Helen in 2010 where individual athletes had to do the pyramid double Helen and shoulder-to-overhead.
