Full Details of CrossFit Games Age Group Events 1 to 3 Announced

Day 1 of competition kicks off in a few hours, these are the full event details.

The full details of the CrossFit Games Age Group events 1 to 3 for have been announced. Master and Teen athletes start competing in the 2021 CrossFit Games in a couple of hours and will tackle all three events during their first day of competition.

Age groups include the following athletes:

  • Teens 14-15
  • Teens 16-17
  • Masters 35-39
  • Masters 40-44
  • Masters 45-49
  • Masters 50-54
  • Masters 55-59
  • Masters 60-64
  • Masters 65+

DAY 1 CROSSFIT GAMES AGE GROUP EVENTS

July 27

Event 1

For time:

Ages 16-17, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49

  • 4.5-mile run (6 laps)

Ages 50-54, 55-59, 14-15

  • 3.75-mile run (5 laps)

Ages 60-64, 65+

  • 3-mile run (4 laps)

Time cap: 40 min.

Event 2

Ages 16-17, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49

5 rounds for time:

  • 1 legless rope climb (20 ft.)
  • 5 deadlifts (345 lb./215 lb.)

Ages 14-15

5 rounds for time:

  • 1 legless rope climb (20 ft.)
  • 5 deadlifts (255 lb./175 lb.)

Ages 50-54, 55-59

5 rounds for time:

  • 1 rope climb (20 ft.)
  • 5 deadlifts (315 lb./195 lb.)

Ages 60-64 and 65+

4 rounds for time:

  • 1 rope climb (20 ft.)
  • 5 deadlifts (255 lb./175 lb.)

Time cap: 6 min.

Event 3

  • 1-Rep Max Snatch

CrossFit Games Age Group Workouts

There will be a total of 9 events for athletes in the 16-17, 35-39 and 40-44 age group divisions and a total of 7 events for all other age groups, which include athletes in the 14-15, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 and 65+ brackets.

Age Groups will compete between Tuesday, July 27 and Thursday, July 29. The best athletes will be crowned the Fittest on Earth then.

CrossFit announced there will be cuts after a few events for age group athletes. The field of athletes in the 16-17 and 35-44 age divisions will be cut in half on Thursday after Event 8. Only the top 10 athletes will advance to the final workout.

For athletes in the 14-15 and 45-65+ divisions cuts will come on Thursday after Event 6. The field will also be cut in half for every age group and only the top 10 athletes will compete in the final event, Event 7.

The events for the second day of competition will be released at noon CT on Tuesday on the CrossFit Games site. The final events for age group divisions will be released on Wednesday at 12 p.m. CT on the CrossFit Games site.
