Semifinals: Torian Pro Workouts, Athletes and How to Watch Live

This is the only Semifinal event scheduled for athletes from Oceania and will take place May 28-30.

The Torian Pro, one of 10 CrossFit Semifinal events, will be taking place in Brisbane this weekend. Here is everything you needed to about streaming the event live, who will be competing, and what the workouts will be.

Everything We Know About the Torian Pro Semifinal Event

Where will the Torian Pro take place?

The Torian Pro is a live event that will take place in Brisbane, Australia.

How can I watch the Torian Pro live?

The Torian Pro will take place between May 28 – 30, 2021. The times are as follows:

THU MAY 27  3:50 p.m. – 1:10 a.m. PT

FRI  MAY 28   3:50 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. PT

SAT MAY 29   3:50 p.m. – 12:20  a.m. PT (Includes award ceremony)

How many athletes and teams will qualify for the CrossFit Games?

The top 3 men, top 3 women and top 3 teams will advance to the Games.

How many spots in the Last-Chance Qualifier?

  • Male: 4th to 6th place
  • Female: 4th to 7th place

Toomey Out of Torian Pro and One Extra Spot For Last-Chance Qualifier

Important to remember that two athletes from Oceania, Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and Emma Chapman, will not be competing at the Torian Pro this year. They both live in the United States and CrossFit Inc. has moved them to the Mid-Atlantic CrossFit Challenge and CrossFit Atlas Games respectively.

Christina Livaditakis, an African athlete who lives in Australia, was also moved from CrossFit Fittest in Cape Town to Torian Pro. Because of that, CrossFit said, one extra spot will be added to the Last-Chance Qualifiers in the elite female division.

Torian Pro Individual Workouts

Event 1 – Reverse Triathlon

For time:

  • 5k run
  • 7k bike
  • 2k row

Time cap: 48 minutes.

Event 2 – Amanda ‘21

For time:

  • 21 muscle ups
  • 21 squat snatches 65/45kg

Time cap: 6 minutes

Event 3 – Hann

For time:

  • 100ft handstand walk
  • 6 rope climbs 15ft
  • 100ft double kettlebell lunge 24/16kg
  • 100ft handstand walk
  • 4 rope climbs 15ft
  • 100 double kettlebell lunge 24/16kg
  • 100 ft double handstand walk
  • 3 rope climbs 15ft
  • 100ft double kettlebell lunge 24/16kg

Event 4 – Double Trouble

2 rounds for time:

  • 30/25 echo bike cals
  • 100 drag rope double-unders
  • 50 dumbbell hang snatches 22/15kg

Event 5 – Clean & Jerk Ladder

In this event, the athlete works his or her way through a series of stations with progressively heavier barbells. The athlete has 50 seconds to move to the platform and perform 1 clena and jerk and it must successfully complete their lift by the 50-second mark. Athletes can opt out of a barbell only once for the entire ladder.

Event 6 – Move it or Lose it V3

In 3 minutes:

  • 30/20 cal Ski
  • 15 burpees over the box 30/24”
  • Max distance sled pull in the time remaining

Rest 1 minute between rounds. Repeat until the sled has been pulled a total of 90 feet across the finish line.

Time cap: 15 minutes

Event 7 – Final

For time:

  • 30-24-18
  • Chest to bar pull-ups
  • 15-12-9
  • thruster 70/47 kg

Time cap: 7 minutes

The athlete must complete all 30 chest to bar pull-ups before moving to perform the 15 thrusters.

Score is the total time it takse the athlete to complete the event.

Teams Workouts

Event 1 – Amanda ‘21

For time:

  • 21 bar muscle ups (4 persons sync)
  • 21 squat snatches (4 person sync) 61/43kg

Event 2 – Triathlon Mixed Relay

For time:

  • 1k run
  • 3k bike
  • 500m row

Order: Female/male/female/male

Time cap: 55 minutes

Event 3 – Hann

3 rounds for time:

  • 100ft handstand walk (4 person)
  • 20 toes-to-bar (4 person sync)
  • 30ft worm lunge

Event 4 and 5Clean & Jerk Ladder

This event will be performed as two separately scored events. First the female pair, and secondly the male pair will work their way through a series of stations wit progressively heavier barbells. Each teammate within the pair will receive one attempt only.

The first athlete have 30 seconds to successfully complete their lift. The second athlete will have until th 50 second mark, and the call of “3-2-1 time” in which to successfully complete their lift. All teammates who successfully completed the lift will advance to the next station.

Event 6 – Worm Burpee

5 rounds for time:

  • 10 worm clean and jerks 20 burpees

Time cap: 21 minutes.

At the sound of the beep, athletes will move forward to begin performing 10 worm clena and jerks. Once the 10 clean are completed, the team will perform 20 sync burpees over the worm. Once the 20 sync worm burpees have been completed, the team will advance the worm to the next section before commencing the second round.

Event 7 – Final

For time, each athlete performs:

  • 30-24-18 chest to bar pull-ups
  • 15-12-9
  • Thruster 65/45 kg

Order: FFMM

At the sound of the beep, the first female athlete will move forward to the rig and perform 30 chest to bar pull-ups. Next, she will advance to the first barbell in the lane and perform 15 thrusters. Once completed all exercises, the athlete returns to the mat and the next athlete may enter the field of play to perform their leg of the relay in the same fashion.

Score is the total time it takes them to complete the event.
