BODi trainer Joel Freeman and PNBA Olympia Champion Megan Freeman have announced a new AI-optimized fitness app. Combining training, progress tracking, and nutrition, the “OptimalFit” app is available on iOS and Android.

Joel is known for creating BODi programs like LIFT4, LIFT MORE, and 10 Rounds, while wife Megan is a NPC competitor. The app they launched is designed to personalize and adapt nutrition and training to each user.

What is OptimalFit?

OptimalFit took over two years to develop, and the app allows users to set and adjust goals, schedules, preferences, and progress. Users can also set individualized nutrition goals, track food intake, plan meals, and create recipes on the app. Tailored guidance will be offered on nutritional needs, dietary preferences, and fitness targets.

The app’s workout programming considers available equipment, schedules, ability, and changes in circumstances. Joel and Megan initially considered white-label fitness platforms, but were unconvinced given their integration, customization, and adaptability needs. Speaking on OptimalFit, Joel Freeman stated:

“We didn’t want another app that simply delivers workouts or tracks calories. We wanted nutrition, training, and progress to work together, with the flexibility to adapt to each person. Building from scratch allowed us to create that experience.”

What Separates OptimalFit From Other Fitness Apps

What sets the app apart from others is an AI fitness assistant known as Olli. Developed over a year, Olli uses athlete goals, training history, nutritional needs, and progress to create workouts, recipes, and nutritional guides. The assistant will also adjust plans where necessary.

Adding her thoughts, Megan Freeman said:

“Fitness and nutrition aren’t one-size-fits-all. We wanted to make personalized guidance more accessible and help people adapt without constantly starting over.”

OptimalFit was released on October 18, with membership starting at $19.95 a month or $199 a year. The app can be downloaded by users in the United States and Canada.
