Athletes Go Unbroken for Event 6 Of The 2020 CrossFit Games Finals

Day Two of the 2020 CrossFit Games Finals started pretty much the same as day One, with victories from Mat Fraser and Tia-Clair Toomey.

Their performance earnt them their fifth and fourth event wins of the weekend.

Contrary to the analysis for Event 6, where it was stated athletes would have to take at least one strategic break (while showed Saxon Panchik performed the workout unbroken in the background) most athletes went unbroken for this event.

Their biggest obstacle wasn’t fatigue or grip strength, but wet grass, which made the kettlebell lunges slippery and forced athletes to take every step with care.

On the men’s side, Noah Ohlsen lead the event until the final set of toes to bar, when Fraser moved forward and stayed ahead.

Fraser would finish the event almost a minute faster than Jeffrey Adler, who crossed the finish line last.

He, however, dismissed the question when asked how leaning closer to a record number of victories made him feel.

“I’m not focused on something like that,” he said. “I’m focused on one event at a time.”
