Another weekend, another batch of fit athletes got their invitation to the 2022 CrossFit Games. Check out the Mid-Atlantic CrossFit Challenge results, winners, podium finishers, and who we will see competing again at the Last-Chance Qualifier.
The MACC took place in Tennessee, United States. The top 5 athletes and teams received an invitation to the CrossFit Games at the end of all 6 events. Athletes who finished 6th, 7th and 8th in the men’s and women’s divisions can compete again in the online tournament Last-Chance Qualifier.

Mid-Atlantic CrossFit Challenge Recap
The Mid-Atlantic CrossFit Challenge was a rollercoaster of emotions for athletes who competed and for people who watched it.
In the women’s division, until the very last event, it was unclear who the top 7 athletes were and, therefore, who would make it to the Games and who would get the Last-Chance Qualifier invitation. In the end, Brooke Wells managed her comeback less than a year after her elbow injury during the 2021 Games. Below her is first-timer individual athlete Rebecca Fuselier who finished one point behind Wells and one point ahead of 6th placed Kelly Clark.
In the men’s division we saw, for the first time in history, identical twins getting invited to the CrossFit Games. Saxon Panchik won for the men’s division while his brother Spencer finished 5th. Noah Ohlsen looked like he could miss this year’s invitation, but turned in a stellar performance in the last 3 events to finish strong. Hats off to Dallin Pepper, the prodigy who won the Games 3 times as a teenager (2017-2019) and is going to compete at the elite level for the first time in his career.
CrossFit Mayhem Independence finished only one event outside of the top 10, winning 3 workouts. This is the 3rd Mayhem team to qualify for the 2022 CrossFit Games.

Individual
Event 1 – Barbell Complex
3 attempts for max load of:

Event 2 – Midline Sadness

- 30-ft handstand walk

Event 4 – The MACC Mile

The Last-Chance Qualifier is an online competition that takes place from June 29th to July 1st.
The Games will take place on August 3-7 in Madison, Wisconsin, United States.
