The Skechers AERO Spark SI Glow in the Dark is aimed at runners looking for a lightweight and responsive feel.
Skechers describes the Spark SI as having a sleek, streamlined silhouette combined with performance focused cushioning. The Glow in the Dark edition retains that running focused construction while adding the new illuminated outsole treatment.
It also features Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins technology.
As the name suggests, the technology is designed to make getting into the shoe easier without needing to pull the heel into position by hand. That can be a useful convenience when you are trying to get out of the door quickly for a run.

Like the Spark SI, the Glow in the Dark version adds the special outsole treatment without changing the central concept of the shoe.
That makes the Burst SI the more cushioning focused member of this particular duo, while the Spark SI is positioned around a lightweight and responsive ride.

Built for Shorter Fall Days
The timing of the release makes sense.
As fall progresses, runners who spent the summer training in daylight increasingly find themselves running before sunrise or after sunset. Evening running clubs also begin finishing their sessions in darkness.
