Jeffrey Adler’s rise to the top of CrossFit is anything but typical. The Canadian athlete, who didn’t come from a competitive sports background, only began training in 2015. Yet less than a decade later, he earned the sport’s highest honor.

In 2023, Adler was crowned the “Fittest Man on Earth” at the CrossFit Games, making history as the first non-American man to win the title since 2009. As part of his victory he showcased his excellent new running skills. This proved critics wrong about him being primarily a strength and power based athlete. When interviewed after one of the endurance heavy events, he exclaimed with a smile on his face “you didn’t know I could run now”.

He recently teamed up with French CrossFit Games athlete Willy Georges to run the PRO DOUBLES MEN at HYROX Paris 2026, finishing with an impressive time of 53:16.

They finished 11th overall and 6th in their age group. This demonstrated a very solid performance on the HYROX floor.

Here are Jeff Adler’s Thoughts About HYROX…

“I’m no Hyrox professional. And I only did one. But here are some thoughts of how I felt through it.

The run-farmer walk-run is a tough one. It’s basically 2 runs back to back close to the end of the race so make sure to pace those.

As a CrossFiter the stations won’t be the limiting factor. You can push those more than you think as long as you can recover on the run

If you can do it in an iconic place you should do that. Grand Palais in Paris was just so cool.

It’s a lot more running then I thought. The run matters a lot. You need to be able to recover at a fast pace and that as soon as you are done with the station.”
