Looking better in a swimsuit or with clothes on is a goal for many people. To do that, there are some things you should be doing to get ripped. Here is a list of 5 tips for you to achieve that.
This list of 5 things you must do to get ripped was created by Jeff Cavaliere on his YouTube channel.
You will read online some wacky ideas on how to get ripped, such as drinking a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar every morning after waking up or not eating after 6 pm. That is all noise and Jeff Cavaliere says there are other ways to get ripped and stay lean year-round.
1. No Dieting
If you take into consideration what the word diet means, you probably shouldn’t be doing, Jeff Cavaliere says. Because a diet is based on deprivation and is usually something temporary, not for the long term.
To get ripped and stay lean year after year constantly, you need to change your eating behaviour and not do a crash diet for a month or two and then give it up.
“When you get to a certain level of leanness through dieting, it’s that same technique that got you there that is most likely going to be the one you’re that you’re going to have to stick to in order to stay there,” Cavaliere explains. And if it was difficult to follow the diet because of deprivation, chances are you won’t be able to maintain it.
2. Lots of Water
By drinking more water throughout the day you will become more aware of the difference between thirst and hunger.
Keeping yourself hydrated will also give you more energy.
3. Weight Training Over Cardio
Prioritise your weight training over your cardio. “The more lean muscle you build, the more likely you’re going to be able to stay lean forever, not just for a short period of time,” Cavaliere says.
Muscle tissue is more active and burns more calories.
4. Lift Proper Weight
There is a difference between the weight you should be lifting and the weight you can be lifting. If you want to get ripped, you need to push to lift more weight progressively.
Just make sure you are not lifting heavier weights at the expense of good technique, otherwise, you will put yourself at risk of injuries.
Consistency will always play the biggest role in how to get ripped, lose weight, shed fat, build muscle, or anything in your life.
If you find a style of training that you enjoy, chances are you will do this training more often and, in the process, get results. If you see results, you will continue with the training and the vicious circle continues in a positive way for your fitness level and health.
