Tanguy Cruz Goes Back-to-Back With Wins in Singapore and Brisbane

French athlete Tanguy Cruz has put together one of the strongest stretches of racing in the 2026 HYROX season, taking back-to-back Pro Men victories in Singapore and Brisbane just six days apart.

He first claimed the win at HYROX Singapore 2026, crossing the line in 1:00:22. Less than a week later, he followed it up at HYROX Brisbane 2026 with a significantly faster 57:09 to secure another Pro title.

Two races, two wins, and a clear step forward in performance.

“The last 12 weeks were focused on these two races, six days apart,” Cruz shared on Instagram after Brisbane. “The goal was to win, despite the different conditions.”

That preparation showed. The drop from just over 60 minutes in Singapore to a sub-58 performance in Brisbane highlights how well he managed both pacing and recovery across a demanding race week.

Brisbane also marked a personal milestone. Cruz confirmed it was a personal best and pointed to specific improvements within the race itself.

“Finally after two years, ‘got that combo sub 3’ lunges and unbroken wall balls,” he wrote.

Those details matter in HYROX. Small gains at the stations often decide outcomes at the top level, and Cruz’s execution across lunges and wall balls helped separate him from the field.

Building Toward the Elite Level

Cruz is no longer a newcomer, but 2026 is shaping up as his most consistent season yet.

Since his first Pro win in Hong Kong in 2023, he has steadily improved his times and race management. Known for hovering around the one-hour mark, he has now shown he can push well below that when everything comes together.

His approach reflects that progression. In training, Cruz emphasizes efficiency over raw effort, particularly on technical stations like the sled pull.

“It’s 70% skill and 30% strength,” he explained in a session breakdown on Coach Conway’s YouTube channel, highlighting how execution can save valuable seconds without increasing effort.

That mindset is starting to translate clearly on race day.

With two wins in one week and a new personal best, Cruz has positioned himself firmly in the conversation around the sport’s top competitors this season.
