The second individual test of Day 3 at the 2026 CrossFit Games introduced two brand-new movements to the Games. Event 14, named Triple Pig, combined high-skill movements, jumping ability, and brute strength into a demanding race against the clock.

Athletes faced three increasingly difficult rounds consisting of bar muscle-ups, the debut of GHD wall-ball shots, triple-unders, and progressively more Pig flips.

Aimee Cringle Continues Dominant Games Campaign

Aimee Cringle began Event 14 holding a lead of more than 100 points over second-place Lucy Campbell in the overall standings, and she looked every bit the athlete to beat.

Heat One

The opening heat quickly showed just how demanding the new movements would be. The GHD wall-ball shots slowed many athletes, while the triple-unders created separation throughout the field.

Ella Wilkinson immediately stood out with her rope skills. She was the first athlete to reach the Pig, with Tynan close behind. Wilkinson continued to impress in the second round, even tucking her hair into her shirt so it would not interfere with the jump rope.

The athletes then had to flip the 159-kilogram Pig, testing both technique and raw strength. Lucy McGonigle faced an additional challenge, completing her triple-under attempts while hopping on one leg because of an injured knee.

Wilkinson’s progress was briefly slowed after receiving several no reps on the GHD wall-ball shots, allowing Tynan to close the gap. The pair reached the final Pig flips together and sprinted side by side toward the finish buzzer. Wilkinson edged the victory by just 0.06 seconds, stopping the clock in 13:29.49.

Heat Two

The second heat raised the standard considerably. Kyra Milligan stormed to victory with a new fastest time of 12:28.34.

Greer finished close behind, while Ellie Turner completed the top three in the heat. Kerstetter successfully crossed the finish line just before the time cap expired.

Final Heat

The final heat featured the overall leaders and quickly became another showcase for Cringle. She moved effortlessly through the triple-unders, completing the opening set of 20 unbroken. Paige Rodgers and Arielle Loewen followed close behind, while Lucy Campbell struggled to find rhythm on the new skill.

Alex Gazan and Maddie Sturt also lost valuable time on the triple-unders as the movement continued to separate the field. Emma Lawson quietly climbed the leaderboard and moved into third during the workout.

Meanwhile, Cringle looked composed throughout every element of the event. She never appeared rushed and handled each movement with confidence.

When she reached the final three Pig flips, she made the heavy implement look surprisingly manageable before racing across the finish line in 10:41.36.

The victory was Cringle’s fifth event win of the 2026 CrossFit Games, further strengthening her grip on the overall competition.

Pat Vellner Tops the Men’s Field

Heat One

The opening men’s heat began with Calum Clements and Henrique Moreira Souza taking an early lead. Ty Jenkins and Reyes soon moved to the front of the pack as the workout progressed.

Spencer Panchik maintained an efficient rhythm through every movement. His Pig flips looked particularly smooth, allowing him to pull away and win the heat in 12:00.05. Ty Jenkins finished second.

Jenkins, who won the CrossFit Games in the Teenage division from 2021 through 2023, continued another impressive weekend in the individual competition. Mathew narrowly missed the time cap, finishing just one second after the buzzer.

Heat Two

Pat Vellner attacked from the opening round, leading Moritz Fiebig through the early stages of the workout. Baylee Martin also looked comfortable throughout the event and remained firmly in contention.

Vellner kept a measured pace on the demanding GHD wall-ball shots before attacking the final section of the workout. He demolished the last three Pig flips to win the heat, with Baylee Martin finishing second and Fiebig taking third.

Final Heat

The final heat remained remarkably close through the opening bar muscle-ups. Dallin Pepper and Jayson Hopper were the first athletes onto the triple-unders, while James Sprague completed his opening set unbroken to establish an early advantage. Roman Khrennikov stayed within striking distance.

Pepper looked particularly comfortable during his second set of triple-unders and soon found himself battling Sprague on the Pig flips.

As the workout entered its closing stages, the battle for the heat shifted. Pepper and Justin Medeiros fought for first place while Sprague slipped back into third. Pepper reached the final set of Pig flips first and held on to win the heat.

However, when all three heats had concluded, Pat Vellner’s outstanding performance from Heat Two remained unbeaten, giving the Canadian the overall event victory.

Two New Movements Pass Their First Test

Triple Pig introduced two completely new movements to the CrossFit Games, and both had a significant impact on the leaderboard.

The GHD wall-ball shots tested coordination and stamina in an unfamiliar position, while the triple-unders punished even the slightest technical mistakes. Combined with progressively heavier volumes of bar muscle-ups and increasingly demanding Pig flips, the workout rewarded athletes who could remain technically efficient under fatigue.

Cringle once again proved herself to be the most complete athlete in the women’s field, collecting a fifth event victory to extend her commanding overall lead.

On the men’s side, Vellner’s composed pacing and relentless finish earned him his second event win of the weekend, while Pepper’s heat victory demonstrated he remains firmly in contention heading into the closing stages of the 2026 CrossFit Games.
