All workouts for the CrossFit Team Quarterfinals have been announced. Teams will face essentially the same workouts as individuals did during the Quarterfinals, adapted for four people.
Team Quarterfinals Workouts
Test 1
For total time:
2 rounds each of:
- 15 strict handstand push-ups
- 15 dumbbell hang power cleans
- 100 double-unders
Male athlete 1 completes 1 round, then male athlete 2 completes 1 round. Repeat.
Then immediately into 2 rounds each of:
- 15 kipping handstand push-ups
- 15 dumbbell shoulder-to-overheads
- 100 double-unders
Male athlete 1 completes 1 round, then male athlete 2 completes 1 round. Repeat.
After the men have finished, the women complete the same sequence.
♀ 35-lb. dumbbells
♂ 50-lb. dumbbells
Time cap: 30 min.
Test 2
For time:
M/F pair 1:
- 70 synchro GHD sit-ups
- 14 rope climbs, one 15-ft. rope, switch as needed
- 70 synchro alternating single leg squats
- 50 synchro GHD sit-ups
- 10 rope climbs, one 15-ft. rope, switch as needed
- 50 synchro alternating single leg squats
When M/F pair 1 finishes, M/F pair 2 completes the sequence.
Time cap: 25 min.
Test 3
M/M and F/F pairs each complete:
Athlete 1:
- 100 wall-ball shots
- 120-cal. row
Then, athlete 2:
- 120 wall-ball shots
- 100-cal. row
Both pairs start at the same time and add their times together for their final score.

♂ 20-lb. ball, 10-ft. target
No time cap
Test 4
For total load:
- 4-rep-max front squat
Each teammate’s heaviest successful attempt is counted toward the team total.
Time frame: 20 min.
Test 5
For time, as a relay, each athlete completes 9-6-3 reps of:
- Snatches
- Burpee box jump-overs
Order: FFMM
♀ 125 lb., 24 in.
♂ 175 lb., 30 in.
Time cap: 15 min.

CrossFit Team Quarterfinals
The Team Quarterfinals are the second stage of the CrossFit season and will see top Affiliate teams around the world compete for a chance to advance to the next stage, the Semifinals.
They are an online event running between Thursday, April 22 and Sunday, April 25 and will determine the 200 teams that will advance to Semifinals worldwide.
“Only the top 25% of teams from each continent [with a minimum of 50 teams] qualify for an online competition that will challenge them with their toughest tests to date,” CrossFit wrote.
- Teams must submit their first two results by Friday, April 23, at 12 p.m. PST.
- Teams must submit their next two results by Saturday, April 24, at 12 p.m. PST.
- Teams must submit their final results by the close of competition on Sunday, April 25, at 12 p.m. PST.
Any teams hoping to advance to Semifinals must submit a video of their performance with their score submissions.

These cutlines were based on top 25% of teams (with a minimum of 50 teams) from each continent following the 2021 CrossFit Open.
How many teams will advance to CrossFit Semifinals?
The top 200 teams worldwide will then advance to the Semifinal events. Each Semifinal will host 20 teams, as well as 30 male and 30 female athletes.

There are a total of 10 Semifinals around the world, five of which have now moved online.
The team competition looks different for the 2021 season, with CrossFit now requiring athletes in a team to train in the same CrossFit Affiliate, bringing so the return of the Affiliate Cup.
