Mal O’Brien has officially joined 5x Fittest Man on Earth Mat Fraser and is now an HWPO Athlete.
Mal O’Brien took the CrossFit world for a ride in 2021. At the age of 17, she qualified for the CrossFit Games as an elite athlete (instead of a teen), she was the youngest person to ever win a CrossFit Games event and was named Rookie of the Year after becoming the 7th Fittest Woman on Earth.
With such an incredible resume, she was under the spotlight and made a decision to train with CrossFit legend Mat Fraser and has officially been welcomed as an HWPO Athlete.
“We have the privilege of Welcoming Mal O’Brien to HWPO Training,” a statement read. “She is coming to us with incredible talent and amazing foundation of HARD WORK. We are honored to be on HER team and cannot wait to see the effort she gives to this next season and her career.”
O’Brien and Mat Fraser have previously shared photos of them training together, but the official announcement came this Wednesday evening.
