CrossFit has announced the combined prize purse for athletes competing at the Semifinals and CrossFit Games this season has increased. Title sponsor NOBULL will pay $431,000 during Semifinals and $2.945 million for eligible athletes and teams at the CrossFit Games.
The news broke just before the first day of CrossFit Semifinals started in Miami this week. CrossFit and NOBULL were increasing the payout for athletes competing at the Semifinals this season depending on their leaderboard placement.
Here is how, overall, the payout increased compared to last year:
- Semifinals – from $414,000 to $431,000
- CrossFit Games – from $2.845 million to $2.945 million
Below is a breakdown of how much each individual athlete and team will earn this year.
Note: Adaptive athletes and age-group payouts remained unchanged from last year’s, with the increase going to individual elite athletes and team payouts.
2023 CrossFit Games and Semifinals Prize Purse
Semifinals
The winner at this year’s Semifinals will earn double compared to last year (from $5,000 to $10,000) – 2nd to 5th also see an increase in their prize purse.
The payout, however, is not the same across all Semifinals, with athletes from Oceania, South America, Africa and Asia receiving the same amount as last year’s.

2023 CrossFit Games
As mentioned above, NOBULL is increasing its payout at the Games by $100,000. Although most athletes won’t see an increase in their payouts (from 11th to 40th the payout is the same), 2nd to 5th placed teams will receive $5,000 more each compared to 2022.

Individual athletes will also receive prize money for placing within the top three in an event at the 2023 NOBULL CrossFit Games.

Although the 1st place won’t receive an increase in the payout, teams from 2nd to 5th will add $5,000 to their wallet come the end of the CrossFit Games. Here is the full breakdown of payout for teams at the 2023 CrossFit Games.

3rd place – $3,000
Masters 65+
1st place – $5,000

Total for all men’s and women’s Masters divisions: $280,000.
Adaptive
Podium finishers of all adaptive divisions will earn the same amount of money.
Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity, Neuromuscular (going to Madison)
1st – $5,000
2nd – $3,000
3rd – $2,000
Vision, intellectual, seated without hip function, seated with hip function, short stature (crowned Fittest on Earth after the Open):
1st – $5,000

Total for men’s and women’s adaptive divisions: $160,000.
