Roman Khrennikov will have a chance to compete at the CrossFit Games in person for the first time in his life. He shared the news that his Visa application to be able to enter the United States of America for the next five years has been accepted.
The Russian CrossFit athlete has a long history of qualifying for the CrossFit Games, only to fail to get clearance to travel to the United States due to his Visa being denied. It happened 3 times already: in 2018 he won Europe Regionals, in 2019 he finished 5th at the Dubai CrossFit Championship and in 2021 after finishing 1st at the Last-Chance Qualifier. All the instances above granted him a spot at the Games, but he was not able to travel to compete in Madison, Wisconsin.

“Today the salary is in the office,” Khrennikov wrote. “Never give up on your dream. Visa to America ✅. Good Day @crossfitgames.”
Snorri Baron, Roman Khrennikov’s agent since 2019, has also shared a photo to express how happy he was with the “Games changing announcement.”
”The final piece of this puzzle arrived today as he received the all important stamp in his passport. For the next 5 years (at least) he can travel freely to the United States,” his agent wrote.
Roman Khrennikov is regarded as one of the fittest Russian CrossFit athletes of all time. Last year alone he won the Madrid CrossFit Championship and the Dubai CrossFit Championship.
Roman Khrennikov managed to compete at the CrossFit Games only once in his life, despite his huge success as a professional athlete. In 2020, due to the pandemic, the Games was held online until it was narrowed down to the five fittest athletes. Khrennikov finished 13th.
