CrossFit announced that 9 athletes were tested in December for banned substances. All of them turned out to be negative.
According to the statement released by CrossFit, the athletes’ specimens “were analyzed for the full WADA out-of-competition panel.” WADA is the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Although tested in December, the announcement was made this Tuesday (11), being the first in 2022.
Expect to see more testing throughout the year, possibly another one before the Open starts on February 24th.
In an attempt to become more transparent regarding its testing, CrossFit Inc. publicly announced negative tests three times in 2021.
The first time it included tests on Rich Froning, Noah Ohlsen and Haley Adams. The second time was during the CrossFit Open when seven athletes were named being tested negative, including Brent Fikowski, Ricky Garard, Laura Horvath, Patrick Vellner, and Chandler Smith. And lastly in December where 18 athletes were tested, including Justin Medeiros, Patrick Vellner and Mallory O’Brien.
