Welcome to the CrossFit Games 2021 Teenagers Day 2 Recap. The second day of competition saw the elite young guns of the CrossFit community throwdown on both land and water.
The 14-15 division faced two events whilst the athletes of the 16-17 age group took on three.

CrossFit Games 2021 Teenagers Day 2 Recap – Event 4
In the 16-17 Boys age group Icelandic teen Rokkvi Gudnason was exceptionally impressive as one of only two competitors to finish inside the time cap. He best his closest rival, US teen Nate Ackerman, by almost a full minute to claim victory.
Over on the female side of the 16-17 Girls division Canadian teen Emma Lawson looked strong and confident as she strode to victory and a well deserved 100 points. However the competition was much closer that the boys, with Emma having to fend off Paulina Haro and Jadzia Onorati-Phillips.
In the 14-15 Boys category the top five spots were all secured by US athletes. Ty Jenkins beat RJ Mestre by the narrowest of margins, 11:58.57 to 11:58.63 to earn his points.
US athletes dominated the top 3 places in Event 4 for the 14-15 Girls division. Olivia Kerstetter demonstrated impressive skills and composure beyond her years to easily own first place in a time of 08:48.19. Second place, 11:04.70 by Trista Smith, showed just how good Olivia’s time really was.

CrossFit Games 2021 Teenagers Day 2 Recap – Event 5
The 500 metre swim proved no problem for Hiko O Te Rangi Curtis from CrossFit Ruark in New Zealand. The speedy kiwi from the 16-17 Boys division beat US teen Nate Ackerman to first place with a winning time of 08:32.02.
In the 16-17 Girls age group Jadzia Onorati-Phillips from CrossFit Maven captured first in 08:15.46. Molly Chicone swam it home in 08:25.35 and Emma Lawson claimed third place in 08:25.35.
The fittest twins from Portugal showed off their swimming prowess in the 14-15 Boys division. Rafael and Rodrigo Candeias finished in third and fourth respectively. Ty Jenkins once again dominated. His bold performance earning him his second event win of the day.
Emily Meyer secured 100 points in the 14-15 Girls age group. Her focused stroke kept her in front of the rest, whilst second and third was a much closer race. Lucy McGonigle beating Morgan Hickson by 00:00.05.

CrossFit Games 2021 Teenagers Day 2 Recap – Event 6
David Bradley looked strong and tough throughout each of the different movements in this workout. His time of 02:57.33 edged out Nate Ackermann’s 03:01.69 in order to confirm first place.
In the 16-17 Girls division Olivia Sulek finished in 02:35.97 ahead of Claire Doty and Emma Lawson, in 02:48.41 and 02:52.90 respectively.
This final performance was good enough to propel her into second place after two days of competition.
