CrossFit Open 2020 – Has Dave Castro Just Dropped a Clue?

Dave Castro is known for throwing in obscure clues in the run up to the Open.

Exactly a month away from the Open Dave Castro has published a photo on Instagram captioned “150-75-50-40-30-20-10 to 3. Now on to the Open and the 2020 season.”

What might seem like just another post for some, many took to be a hint for the 2020 CrossFit Open’s first workout.

Athletes on the comment section wondered if Castro’s caption of “150-75-50-40-30-20-10” – the cut schedule for the CrossFit Games – would also be the rep scheme for 20.1, the first workout of this season’s Open.

Dave Castro does not only program for the CrossFit Games, he’s also designs and programs all workouts for the Open.

In past years, with the exception of 2019, Dave has rejoiced in posting obscure clues about upcoming workouts. Some come with no description, advice or hint and looking back its’s sometimes hard to see how they relate to the actual workout.

However, the clues do create a conversation within the community, as frustrating as they might be.

Given the timing, and if this isn’t already a clue, we wouldn’t be surprised to start seeing them again soon.

Check out some of the 2018 clues:
