What might seem like just another post for some, many took to be a hint for the 2020 CrossFit Open’s first workout.

Athletes on the comment section wondered if Castro’s caption of “150-75-50-40-30-20-10” – the cut schedule for the CrossFit Games – would also be the rep scheme for 20.1, the first workout of this season’s Open.

Dave Castro does not only program for the CrossFit Games, he’s also designs and programs all workouts for the Open.

In past years, with the exception of 2019, Dave has rejoiced in posting obscure clues about upcoming workouts. Some come with no description, advice or hint and looking back its’s sometimes hard to see how they relate to the actual workout.

However, the clues do create a conversation within the community, as frustrating as they might be.

Given the timing, and if this isn’t already a clue, we wouldn’t be surprised to start seeing them again soon.
