Semifinals serve as the last stage of competition before the CrossFit Games. They see the top athletes in the world go head-to-head for a chance to punch their ticket to the “ultimate testing ground”. They are independently run events which have partnered with CrossFit and will – with the exception of two – program their own workouts.
There are 10 Semifinals around the world, all happening in-person for the first time. Each Semifinal will host 30 male and 30 female athletes, as well as 20 teams.
Top athletes at the end of each competition will ultimately be awarded a qualification spot for the 2022 CrossFit Games.
For Semifinals in North America (four of them) and Europe (two of them), the top 5 athletes and teams in each division will qualify for the CrossFit Games per event. In Oceania, the top 3 athletes and teams qualify for the Games. In Asia and South America, the top 2 individuals and teams will be invited to compete at the Games respectively. Ultimately, the top athlete and team from Africa will advance to the CrossFit Games.

Age Group and Adaptive Semifinals
Age Group and Adaptive Semifinals will be held online. The first Age Group Semifinal, for athletes aged 14-17 and 35-49, will run from May 26 to 29. The second Age Group Semifinal, for athletes aged 50+, as well as the Adaptive Semifinals, will run from June 2 to 5.
All workouts for these events will be released on May 20.
How to watch 2022 CrossFit Semifinals
Taking place over four consecutive weekends in May and June, the 2022 CrossFit Semifinals will serve as the final stage of qualification for athletes hoping to compete at the 2022 CrossFit Games.
All in-person Semifinals will be streamed online for fans to watch, seven via Games.CrossFit.com and in the CrossFit Games app, and three on their own online channels.
CrossFit Fittest in Cape Town, CrossFit Copa Sur, and Far East Throwdown will be doing their own live streams of competition, which will be produced by the event organizers and available on the sites for those events.

Taking place in London, England (GMT+1), between June 10 and 12, the Strength in Depth Semifinal livestream will be available on Games.CrossFit.com and on the CrossFit Games App.
