Watch Tia-Clair Toomey, Kari Pearce & CrossFit’s Fittest Women Smash 21.2

As the final scores for CrossFit Open Workout 21.2 start to trickle in, we are beginning to get more of an idea about who is coming out on top and looking at spot at one of the Quarterfinals. While many of us have attempted 21.2 with varying degrees of success, CrossFit’s most accomplished athletes have been busy destroying their 17.1 times.

This workout was certainly one for the pain cave, but despite the grind some ridiculously fast scores have been submitted. One of most impressive comes from 17-year-old Emma Cary, who demolished the RX’d 21.2 workout in just 8:51. She is closely followed by CrossFit Games veteran Kristin Holte, who smashed the workout with another sub-9 minute time of 8:58.

Watch Tia-Clair Toomey Take on 21.2

Four-time Fittest on Earth Tia-Clair Toomey is no stranger to this workout, but three years on from the first time it appeared at the Open, she easily shaved over 2 minutes from her 2017 attempt — a stunningly good 9:16.

This time brings Tia’s overall Open ranking to #3 behind Mallory O’Brien and Emma Cary (who both 17, might I add).

Watch Kari Pearce, Danielle Brandon & Bethany Shadburne Tackle 21.2

The Buttery Bros. were down in Las Vegas this weekend with three of CrossFit’s most accomplished athletes; Kari Pearce, Danielle Brandon and Bethany Shadburne. The trio, who are training together this year, take on Open Workout 21.2 right after the live announcement last week, clocking in with some equally impressive times. Check it out:

The final times were 9:41 (Pearce), 10:00 (Shadburne) and 10:43 (Brandon).

Kristi Eramo-O’Connell Compares 21.2 to 17.1

In Kristi Eramo O’Connell’s video, she shows the side-by-side comparison between her first attempt at the workout in 2017 vs. her 2021 attempt. In her own words, Kristi looks stronger, more confident and ready to attack the workout. You can see how much faster and smoother her reps are, making for a much more successful time — 9:41. She shaved off over a minute compared to her 17.1 time of 10:57.
