7 Things Nobody Tells You About Getting Shredded

The cons of reaching a low body fat percentage.

You probably didn’t know about this. Here are 7 things nobody tells you about getting shredded.

Recently BOXROX has shared an ultimate guide on how to get shredded. In that article, we went through all the steps necessary to keep lowering your body fat, all the way to single digits (if that is what you want).

However, what wasn’t in that article are the things nobody tells you about getting shredded. And there are quite a few important things you should know about it. Luckily, we have Max Posternak to summarise everything for you.

Max Posternak is the founder of Gravity Transformation, a website focused on giving tips and training guidance for people looking to improve their fitness and lose weight. His YouTube channel has over 4 million subscribers.

He shared a video explaining 7 things nobody tells you about getting shredded. Check it out.

7 Things Nobody Tells You About Getting Shredded

Well, although these are the 7 things nobody tells you about getting shredded, Posternak decided to talk about them to bring a bit more clarity to you looking to get fitter. And there are many costs that come with getting shredded.

Here is his list in a nutshell:

  1. You likely get weaker
  2. Libido likely will go down
  3. Nutrient deficiencies
  4. You likely will feel tired
  5. Belief you will look as shredded as models forever
  6. Metabolism will slower
  7. You will feel colder

As you can see, although it is many people’s ambition to get shredded and lower their body fat percentage as much as possible, it comes with some negative side effects.

Although you might look stronger, you will actually feel weaker as your body fat percentage gets lower and lower and you look even more shredded.

Your libido will likely go down as a result if your body fat percentage is too low and you will find it hard to get all the nutrients necessary if you are eating less and less every day.

Because of this deprived state of eating, you will feel tired more often than if your body fat percentage is above 11%, your metabolism will slow down and your body will get into a survival mode that it will be nearly impossible to maintain a shredded physique for longer periods of time – this is why bikini contestants have periods of cutting and bulking as even the pros find it hard to sustain a shredded physique year-round.

And that is Posternak’s list of 7 things nobody tells you about getting shredded. To understand better each argument presented by him, click on the video below.
